Painting Category

I attended a three room school house for elementary school.  In the fifth and sixth grades my teacher (Mrs. Quick) kept me out of mischief by having me design and execute murals depicting history of California.  I started painting in the seventh grade.  My art teacher was Mrs. Zumwalt.  She was an inspiration.  Even through I was more interested in science and mathematics I kept art in the background until after college.  I then started investigating more art, drawing and working with oil paints.

Most of my art instruction was taking adult education classes and workshops.
