As a child, I loved to paint and draw and spent many hours outside in rural Connecticut exploring nature and examining my farm environment.  this love of color and shape has led me to a 20 year career teaching art in public and private schools at both the high school and college levels.
 

While teaching I discovered that students often use art as a means of reaching deep within oneself to communicate hidden changes.  This experience took me on another path, which earned me degrees in Counseling and Art Therapy.
 

Now that I am retired, I am passionately following my own artistic expression.  I divide my time between homes in Arizona and Minnesota and enjoy the beauty of both states.

I am currently working in both watercolor and oils.  Although I paint traditional watercolor, I am excited about exploring poured water mediums.  As each poured background is completed, the picture "speaks" to me giving me subject matter and color composition.  The subjects of these poured painting reveal themselves to me during the creative process.

My paintings are in private collections in Arizona, California, Minnesota and several states in the Northwest.   My current work is displayed in several offices in Prescott, Arizona.  I strive to create expressions in paint which excite and invite the viewer to appreciate the beauty and simplicity of nature.
